Exceptional Opportunity - Hiring for an Acute Care Surgeon | 10 FTE
Location: Renton, WA (just 12 miles south of downtown Seattle, WA)
Valley Medical Center is a 341-bed hospital with Level III Trauma Center designation and a dedicated acute care surgery service that is staffed by a team of general surgeons and nurse practitioners. Candidates for this position must be comfortable managing polytrauma patients, complex emergency general surgery patients and some basic thoracic patients as well. The candidate must also have an interest in teaching surgical residents rotating from the University of Washington. The ideal applicant will be a team player with current experience and interest in acute care surgery. Completion of an ACS/trauma fellowship is encouraged but not required. A commitment to quality improvement and continuity of care is preferred as well.
Applicants must have the ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA and the ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice. Anticipated start date Fall/Winter 2021.
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, week on/week off schedule
