General Manager
WRECA is seeking a General Manager based out of Olympia, WA.
Washington Rural Electric Cooperative Association represents 14 electric cooperatives and mutual electric companies throughout Washington. Our mission is to proactively influence the regulatory environment in the best interests of the consumer-owned electric utilities in the State of Washington.
This position is responsible for the prudent and businesslike management of the Association’s day-to-day business affairs. The General Manager shall devote full time to the management of the association and carry out the duties in accordance with the WRECA bylaws, policies adopted by the board of directors, the General Manager’s employment agreement, and any resolution or other direction of the WRECA board, all in compliance with the laws of the State of Washington.
The ideal candidate will have progressive responsibility in public affairs and utilities, the ability to communicate through writing and speaking, thorough knowledge of state government and the legislative process and a BS or BA degrees in Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Political Science, with commensurate experience acceptable as an alternative.
